Sihing Serhat DEMIR, who had started learning Avci WT and Escrima under the guidance of Sihing Hasan AKIN in 1999, went to the USA in 2003 for graduate studies in Criminal Justice and Doctorate in Political Science.

Sining DEMIR returned to Turkey by the end of 2009 after completing his PhD and started teaching Avci WT and Escrima classes.
