This training is focused on training the motorcycle police troops to increase the efficiency of police at preventive security services and improving the public relations.This model of motorcycle police troops is applied by Turkish National Police with great success. Specifically in metropolitan cities, police needs to reach the evident scene in the shortest time, which is mostly impossible. The already heavy task of police at the metropolitan cities adds more burden on the shoulders of police units to reach the evident scene in the shortest time.
Use of motorcycle police units is the most economical and fastest solution to reach the scenes. Use of motorcycle units is also environment friendly. It relieves the economic burden of purchase, maintenance and petrol consumption compared to cars.
In all aspects, use of motorcycle troops is more economic and provide more speedy solutions in the heavy traffic of metropolitan cities.
The experiences in Turkey indicates that motorcycle police units also provides a good chance for trust-building of the public and the police.
The model of motorcycle units can also be applied to the private security services which provides security where use of vehicles is necessary and speed is crucial.
